Uncovered: The war on Iraq by Robert Greenwald

Uncovered the war on IraqRobert Greenwald better known for his documentaries “Outfoxed” and “Wal-mart: The high cost of low price”, also did a documentary on the Iraq War.

He describes the documentary as being an important film documenting exactly how the Bush administration hoodwinked the American people into supporting an unnecessary war. A war that has claimed tens of thousands of lives, and continues today.

In UNCOVERED: The War on Iraq, filmmaker Robert Greenwald chronicles the Bush Administration’s determined quest to invade Iraq following the events of September 11, 2001. The film deconstructs the administration’s case for war through interviews with U.S intelligence and defense officials, foreign service experts, and U.N. weapons inspectors — including a former CIA director, a former ambassador to Saudi Arabia and even President Bush’s Secretary of the Army. Their analysis and conclusions are sobering, and often disturbing, regardless of one’s political affiliations.

If you have never had an opportunity to see a Robert Greenwald film, you can watch “Uncovered: The war on Iraq” here.

One thing that I want to bring up is how much the arguments for the invasion of Iraq then mirror so closely the arguments they are making for our attacking Iran now.

Robert Greenwald is currently working on a new documentary on the Iraq War called “Iraq for sale: The war profiteers”. It is due out in the fall.

Back in May 2006, 3,011 people donated $367,882 to make this film a reality

I feel this could be the herald of a new kind of community activism. You can check out the trailer for his new project below. It looks interesting.

I own both “Outfoxed” and the “Wal-mart: The high cost of low price”. If you like his Uncovered documentary, then you should also consider looking at both of them. They will, at the very least, give you things to think about.

Take a look, see what you think, do your own research, and make your own decision on the facts of the matter. I will never tell you what to think about something, only what I think about it.
