The Rise of Dominionism, Religion and Politics Part II

Christian HypocritesReligion should be an important factor in your daily life. There should be a deep and personal relationship between you and your God. While religion can be shared, it can never be forced.

But that is exactly what many activist Christians involved in politics wish to do, convert the heathens via the legal system. They had these same type of people back in Jesus’s time. They were called Pharisees.

Activist Christians are more dangerous than the worst activist judge. It is the job of a judge to interpret the law. A Christian’s sole job is to live a good life.

Some “Christians” have gotten confused about this, in their quest for power over their fellow man. It’s past time for true Christians to set them straight. Call them out, challenge their hypocrisy where ever you see it, in the Pulpit,  Papacy, or on the street. «Read the rest of this article»

A montage of Bushism’s

President George W. Bush, JRI have several projects in progress but none ready to be posted yet. So to keep you from getting bored, I post a video or a short story. I was going to stay away from politics until I saw this clip. Once I saw it, I could not resist sharing it with the readers of this site.

Remember this is the man, that the Republicans in the House and Senate have allowed to trash our liberties, our Constitution, and our laws with impunity, by abrogating their responsibility to conduct meaningful oversight of the Executive branch of our government. It’s a sad thing when or representatives abandon their responsibilities in the interest of loyalty to a political party. «Read the rest of this article»

Video FootageI can’t even begin to figure out how you discover a talent like this, but I am glad they did! The video shows a sand animation artist at work. Using only their fingers, a Sand artist draws with sand on glass table, producing works of art in seconds! Read more to see one in action! «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Online mentioned on Broadband Reports in reference to CDE’s Fibre referendum

Clarksville Department of ElectricityWe have posted several articles in reference to the CDE plan to wire every home in Clarksville with Fiber optic connections.

Clarksville will be voting in November, to authorize CDE to form a Telecommunications Authority. I encourage everyone to vote yes on the referendum.

CDE wants to build this network to enable them to read meters, turn on and off electricity for overdue customers, and real time monitoring of the local power grid all from the central office. Once installed these cables can also be used to provide cable television, on-demand video, worldwide video-conferencing, multiple community access TV channels, high speed Internet, and other services, which are not currently offered by Bellsouth or Charter Communications. «Read the rest of this article»

Learning to Let Go

Bush's Foreign Policy, Cartoon courtesy of Brian Narelle from http://www.narellecreative.com/Today our “wartime president” reiterated for the umpteenth time that we are not getting out of Iraq while he is president. He tells us that the result of withdrawal would be catastrophic, would result in a failed state in Iraq. Well, I have news for our fearless leader, Iraq was a failed state from the day we invaded it. It was inevitable that it would fail, given the incompetence of this administration. Aside from billions in no-bid contracts for Haliburton, our invasion of that troubled nation has done nothing for either the Iraqis or for us -aside from getting over 2,500 of our troops killed and thousands more maimed for life (and we won’t mention the tens of thousands of Iraqis killed and maimed). «Read the rest of this article»

Discrimination by so called Christians

Christian HypocritesThis story illustrates why our nation must not allow churches and religious institutions to be above the law.

The behavior by this church and its pastor is degrading to women, to true Christians, and to Americans in general.

Discrimination is always wrong! It doesn’t matter if it’s on based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or identification, and it should never be tolerated by any one no matter the political, social, or religious institution involved. «Read the rest of this article»

Life and Liberty for those who believe, Religion and Politics Part I.

ReligionsOver the next few weeks, I intend to discuss at length, the extent that certain individuals are going to, in order to blur the clear lines between religion and politics, and those between Church and State.

By their very nature religion and politics are strange bed fellows. In Christianity, when confronted with the issue, Jesus handled it in a simple manner: «Read the rest of this article»

What the Judge actually said regarding the NSA spying program. Why doesn’t the press care?

ConstitutionI posted the other day on the ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Anna Diggs Taylor in response to the lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union challenging the President’s so called “Terrorist Surveillance Program” (TSP). It was a story posted with little review of the judges decision. Her ruling actually raises serious issues that extend beyond that one program.

The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. – THE FEDERALIST NO. 47, at 301 (James Madison)

Here’s the meat of the issue. «Read the rest of this article»
