Hi Ken/Julie, for DSL as far as I know you have no options other than AT&T (Formerly known as Bellsouth). I doubt Charter is going under and even if they did Comcast or another company would buy their network.

My reasoning behind supporting CDE offering additional services was so that Charter and AT&T (Bellsouth) would have some competition which would encourage lower pricing, more reliable services, and better customer service. The fact that CDE is going to be offering fiber optic connections is simply the icing on the cake :)

When CDE starts offering service we will have 3 companies competing to offer hard wired telecommunications services here, I would love to see 4, 5, or even 6 options for the local residents.

Feel free to email or call me if you have any further questions about the city :)

We will be moving to Clarksville TN in June 2007 and we are having a hard time finding out where we sign up for DSL. We have read that chater is going under and there is lots of problems with charter and Bell South tells us we have to be on a long waiting list. Is this all there is in Clarksville for DSL service? Sure would love some help from anyone from this area.

Thanks..
