Military service is one of the ways that Americans use to express their patriotism. I served in the Navy myself. That being said be wary of what recruiters tell you. They might not be honest with you. Get everything in writing before signing a contract. This film gives you some more things to think about before making the decision to enlist or not. I am not saying you shouldn’t serve in the military. I am saying make sure you are fully informed before making the choice to do so.
Straight talk from soldiers, veterans and their family members tells what is missing from the exciting images presented by military recruiters and their marketing efforts. The message is not “don’t enlist” but rather to provide young people and their families a more complete picture of the life-altering consequences of joining the military – especially in wartime. 15 minutes. I’m just glad that someone was brave enough to join the military so you can display garbage like this video.
