I share her despair and fully understand her decision to quit the struggle, particularly in the wake of the decision by so many Democrats in congress to buy into Bush's madness in Iraq. How many thousands of our servicemen and women and how many tens or hundreds of thousands of Iraqis will be killed or have their lives totally disrupted because of Congress' cowardice. Take a big, long break, Cindy. You've more than earned it. Cindy Sheehan has worked tirelessly in the cause of peace. All warriors need rest, and more importantly, time to heal the wounds of war. She has brought attention to the issues,and found our country's leadership woefully wanting, as many of us had. Her son gave everything, and she has given up much of her life on this altar of protest. Perhaps the best thing she can do now return to family with honor, heal her own grief, and teach Casey's siblings what honor really is -- and that is NOT shedding the blood of young Americans for Bush's War. Shame on the Dems for dropping the ball and not holding the administration accountable and our representatives accountable. Don't worry, Cindy; there are more of us out here picking the slack for you. Rest. Heal. You've earned it. Sheehan is a woman warrior who has spoken for many Americans.
