I would hope that the matter of hair color is a dead issue. The young lady continues to be her regular self- a good student and cordial person. Having a purple streak in her hair is not disrupting the function of the admin office, her classes or the school. Leave well enough alone. Why stir up a hornet's nest unnecessarily!

It's best that there be no "other shoe dropping!" If one should appear, I'd advise the family to call on the ACLU right away! I guess 'Rogue'(from the 1st X-Men movie) would not be welcomed in the NEHS admin office either! Hey, Rochelle, they've made a member of the Brotherhood! Oh my!! Watch out for Magneto!

What a travesty of normalcy and recognition. The vice principle's words tell it all- "... change your hair back to a more normal color ..." What earned this student the opportunity to be a student aide, her sameness, her normal appearance, her academic standing, what marked her as unique?

CMCSS Director Harris has an opportunity to demonstrate his leadership here. This student committed no infraction of the dress code or any other parts of the student handbook. This edit should not stand.

It appears this is an attempt to compel an outstanding student to adhere to a more traditional appearance by an authority figure. This could be interpreted as abuse by an authority figure! It's only the first full week of the school year and already we have a crisis. Good Grief, Charlie Brown!!!
