  The Austin Peay State University Department of Music is pleased to present the APSU Clarinet Choir in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will feature Graupner’s Sonata in G major, Bach’s “Art of Fugue” and Beethoven’s Quintet Opus 71. Mingzhe Wang, assistant professor of music at Austin Peay State University, will direct the ensemble.Wang joined the faculty of Austin Peay State University in the fall of 2007 and was selected as the vocal soloist for the Nashville Symphony production, “Concerto for Percussion.” Wang’s accomplishments include winning the National Society of Arts and Letters Woodwind Competition in 1999, Orchestral Instrument Competition in 2001 and the Yale Woolsey Hall Concerto Competition.
Before coming to APSU, Wang taught clarinet to Yale undergraduate students and served on the faculty at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, Conn.
