Elementary school artists sought for Road Race art competition
Elementary school children, ages 6 to 10 years or 1st to 5th grade are invited to enter the 31st Annual Queen City Road Race Art Competition!
Young artists should submit a colorful drawing that features the Wilma Rudolph 5K Relay Gold Cup, the 5K race and the one mile fun run with the family image in mind; please no trade marked logos or copy-right characters allowed.
Submissions must be on paper no larger than 11” by 14” and turned into the Parks and Recreation Office at 104 Public Square by November 20th at 4 p.m. The winning image will be used on all marketing for the event and will be featured on 1,800 race t-shirts for 2009. Prizes will be given to semi-finalists and finalists.
The winner will receive a $100.00 and a framed copy of the art. Clarksville Montgomery County School children can turn their submissions into their art teachers for submission. Queen City Road Race is scheduled for April 19th, 2009. Call us at 931-645-7476 for more information.
