 Fred Douglas Williams
Fred Douglas Williams, (B/M), 37, of 303 Copeland Rd, Clarksville, was charged with Burglary and Evading Arrest with a bond of $6,000 in connection with as burglary at Embassy Furniture on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Friday morning at 00:45 a.m., patrol officers responded to a burglary in progress at 3051 Fort Campbell Boulevard, site of Embassy Furniture.
One of the patrol officers, Officer Justin Bailey, was walking around the side of the building and saw Williams emerge from the back of the building carrying two comforters. When Officer Bailey attempted to make contact with Williams, the suspect fled on foot, but was quickly caught by officers. Detective Fontella Jones responded to the scene and interviewed Williams. Williams admitted to entering the business and taking the property valued at $300. He was transported and booked into Montgomery County Jail.
This is not Williams first encounter with the Clarksville Police Department in reference to Burglary. He has a history of Burglary charges.
