Austin Peay State University student has declared a ticket for the Tennessee Federation of College Democrats Presidency. In a press statement released today, Adam Haynes and ETSU student Jordan Huffiman announced that they have teamed up as a combined ticket to seek the leadership of the Tennessee Federation of College Democrats. This is their statement:
Adam Haynes, of APSU, and Jordan Huffman, of ETSU, are running as a ticket for President and Vice-President of the Tennessee Federation of College Democrats. They believe that TFCD needs better communication amongst our chapters and with the democratic leaders of our state.
As Political Director and Membership Director, respectively, they have worked to implement and fully support the establishment of a State Council and the extension of the CDA constituency caucuses to the state level.
They believe that to overcome the shortcoming of the 2008 election cycle, we must start today to strengthen our brand beyond the grounds of our campus and work to get our institutions more involved in the day to day actions of our state legislature.
They both fully understand what has to be done to insure that Democrats retake the House, hold on to the Governor’s Mansion and make gains in the Senate in 2010.
It’s time to elect proven leadership for Tennessee’s Future.
