LEGENDS & LYRICS is a unique musical performance series showcasing the art of songwriting. Each show is a mixture of famous recording artists who write their own hits as well as the professional song poets who supply hit songs for others.
The producers of LEGENDS & LYRICS have invited Nashville Public Television viewers to attend free tapings of the show in Nashville, Friday, February 20 through Monday, February 23.
Eight shows will be filmed in Nashville at the historic Grand Masonic Lodge on the corner of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Two shows will be filmed each day featuring three songwriters in an “in-the-round” setting. Each show will also feature a “Rising Star.”
Confirmed artists include: Gavin DeGraw, Melissa Manchester, Josh Kelly, Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Dwight Yoakam, Brittini Black, Guy Clark, Darryl Worley and 30 others!
NPT viewers can get free passes for all of the shows by going to http://www.legendsandlyrics.com.
Please do not call NPT to reserve your seats. These are independently produced shows and you must visit http://www.legendsandlyrics.com to secure your seats.
The series is produced by Song-Writers In The Round, Inc. and is being distributed by American Public Television to PBS stations nationwide. Previously taped shows will air on NPT this spring.
