Club Beyond Presents Muck Wars 2009 on Saturday
The teenage warriors will divide into two armies (the Brits and the Scots) and take to the battlefield at 11 a.m. for gladiator games and then again at noon to bide for a trophy and bragging rights for 2009. The battle is expected to launch over 800 water balloons, 1,000 pounds of mud, splash artillery and flour bombs; while stench cannons will be the weapons of choice. It’s a way for teens to have good, clean fun while getting filthy and showing off their battle skills during the 2009 Muck Wars event. Club Beyond is taking sign-ups for warrior teen participation and is currently seeking all active duty military dependants to participate in the event. All interested teens, ages 13-18, will need to contact Gil and Patti Carter, advisors for Fort Campbell Club Beyond, at 615-738-0822, for entry onto the battlefield. All spectators are welcome and admission is free. Non-ID holders must go to the visitors’ center at Gate Four off 41-A/Ft. Campbell Blvd. to get temporary passes. Vehicles must have registration and proof of insurance to enter post. Fort Campbell’s Military Community Youth Ministries Club Beyond is a chapel sponsored organization dedicated to providing support to teens, ages 13-18, of military families. The second annual Muck Wars is a high energy event that provides positive activities for teenage military dependents. For more information on the battle event or partnering with Club Beyond, contact the advisors at 615-738-0822/0823 or .
