CGW schedules road closure and water outages
The Clarksville Gas and Water Department wishes to inform Clarksville residents of two issues which may affect them, or their services in the next 24-48 hours, a water outage on Memorial Drive, and a road closure/possible water outage on College Street.
Water outage
Water will be disrupted on Memorial Drive from Madison Street to Haynes Street, and on a section of Uffelman Drive on Thursday, June 25th, beginning at 11:45 p.m. to Friday, June 26th at approximately 7:30 a.m. Memorial Circle will also be affected by the outage. Gas and Water construction workers will replace a fire hydrant near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Madison Street.
Residents and area businesses are advised to plan for an alternate water source during the outage.
Road closure
College Street will be closed between university avenue to Drane Street from Thursday, June 25, 2009, 7:00 p.m. to Friday, June 26th, at approximately 3:00 a.m. while Gas and Water construction workers locate a water leak. It is possible that water on this section of College Street will also be disrupted. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to 4th Street and westbound traffic will be detoured to University Avenue.
Residents and area businesses are advised to plan for an alternate water source in the event of a water outage.
