Austin Peay State University recently received national honors for offering a high quality, reasonably priced online bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
GetEducated.com conducts nationwide surveys of distance-learning bachelor’s degrees in the area of criminal justice, law, legal studies and homeland security. APSU was ranked the No. 4 “Best Buy” among 12 regionally accredited colleges and universities.
A “Best Buy” designation indicates that a program has been found to offer a high quality distance degree to a national audience at a reasonable cost below the national average.
APSU’s Bachelor of Science in criminal justice/homeland security concentration, at a total cost of $22,680 for state residents, ranked No. 4 in the 2009 survey.
By comparison, the average cost for a distance bachelor’s degree in the justice area was more than $30,000, according to the GetEducated.com survey. West Carolina University in North Carolina ranked No. 1 at $9,144 for state residents.
