Murray State used a 16-0 late-game run to break open a tight game a nd defeat Austin Peay State University, 69-53, in Ohio Valley Conference action, Saturday night, in Dave Aaron Arena.
The victory improved Murray State to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in the OVC. Meanwhile, the Governors slip to 9-9 overall and 3-3 in the OVC. It was only Murray State’s third win in Clarksville since 1997 and first since 2006.

Austin Peay (5-12, 4-2 OVC) held a 70-61 lead after junior Darcie Warner’s basket with 5:12 remaining.
