Trina Scott joins Concerns of Police Survivors’ National Board
Camdenton, MO – Trina Scott of Woodlawn, TN, was recently elected to serve as the Southern Seaboard Trustee of Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) is the only national, nonprofit organization in the country that works hands-on with more than 15,000 surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty to help them rebuild their shattered lives.
Trina’s husband, Patrolman David Scott with the Clarksville (TN) Police Department, was killed in the line of duty on June 7, 2002, in an automobile accident while pursuing a robbery suspect. Since her husband’s death, Trina has been active in numerous C.O.P.S. programs by attending National Police Week, Spouses’ Retreat, Kids Camp with her children, and she is the President of the Middle and Eastern Tennessee C.O.P.S. Chapter. Mrs. Scott’s children have also been active with C.O.P.S. since their father’s death.
As the Southern Seaboard Trustee, Trina Scott will be responsible for working with the surviving families and law enforcement agencies in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
