Clarksville-Montgomery County Memorial Day Ceremony

The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization is hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00 am, May 31st, at Veterans Memorial Park, Clarksville.

Retired Air Force Maj. Bill Summers, Ward 10 Clarksville city councilman, will be guest speaker.

Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers and Clarksville Mayor Johnny Piper will welcome ceremony guests and offer words of remembrance and appreciation.

Music and vocals will be provided by soloist Stella McKnight and SGT Erik Pyne of the 101st Division Band, Fort Campbell, with posting of the colors by the Montgomery Central High School JROTC. Area Veterans Service Organizations will conduct a wreath- laying ceremony.

Veterans Memorial Park is located next to the United Way Building, 1300 Madison Street, with parking available at Veterans Plaza. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the Montgomery County Health Department, Veterans Plaza.
