CMCSS Administrative Positions Announced

Kenwood Middle School Administrator Change Announced

Bart Dixon has been appointed principal of Kenwood Middle School, replacing Frank Wilson who today announced his acceptance of the assistant principalship at Kenwood High School.

Dixon was named assistant principal of West Creek High School in February 2009. He previously served five years as band director and after-school program site director at Richview Middle School.

Dixon has served as a music educator on the elementary, middle and high school levels in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and schools in Paducah and Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

He earned a Master’s Degree in music with education concentration from Austin Peay State University and an administration endorsement from Cumberland University. He earned a B.S. in music from Austin Peay. He serves as music director at Grace Bible Church.

Wilson previously served in the assistant principal role at Kenwood High before moving to Kenwood Middle.

CHS Assistant Principal Named

Drew Williams

Drew Williams, currently the At Risk Coordinator for CMCSS and former dean of students at Nashville’s Glencliff High School, will be filling the open assistant principal position at Clarksville High School.

Williams earned his B.S. from Brigham Young University and his M. Ed. from Trevecca Nazarene College.

Principal Announces Departure

Richview Middle School Principal Mary Gist today announced her resignation to take a position as principal of Heritage Middle School in Williamson County. Gist has been at Richview since 2008.
