The Clarksville Parks and Rec Report

 The weekly Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Report provides Clarksvillians with a look at the upcoming activities and events that are available from the Parks and Recreation Department for them to enjoy together as a family.

Events this week include: Pools, Downtown Market, Movies in the Park, Youth and Adult Leagues, and the Fall Adult CoEd Kickball League.

Pool Passes

The Swan Lake Pool Slide

Don’t miss the chance to cool off this summer at any of our five pools by purchasing a pool pass at the Parks & Recreation office or any of our community centers.

Downtown Market

Come down to Public Square this Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm for the Clarksville Downtown Market. The market will feature fresh, locally grown produce, nursery stock, handmade craft items, and other seasonal commodities. You can also find baked goods, home décor, seasonal flowers and more! After visiting, be sure to go to www.farmland.org/vote to cast your vote to select Clarksville’s Downtown Market- “America’s Favorite Farmers Markets”.

Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park

Join us for our next viewing of Movies in the Park, Saturday, July 10th at Heritage Park Soccer fields for the viewing of Star Trek (2009), rated PG-13.

Come early to save your spot and enjoy pre-show activities beginning an hour before the movie which begins at dark. Admission to the movie is free.

Youth and Adult Leagues

Games for our youth leagues are just beginning while our adult league games are in full swing. Don’t play, but love to watch? Come out to Heritage Park and enjoy a game or two!

Adult Fall Softball Registration begins soon- with an organizational meeting being held for coaches July 11th at Burt-Cobb Community Center at 2pm.

Fall Adult CoEd Kickball League

It’s not just for recess anymore! Join us for an information meeting July 11th at Burt-Cobb Community Center at 2:00pm.Teams consist of 10 to 20 players. League play will begin August 16th and runs through early November at Heritage Park. All games will be played on Monday nights.

Billy Dunlop Park will be closed to the public July 12th thru July 16th.
