It’s that time of year again for each of you to put your thinking caps on and help start the process of developing the “2011 Legislative Agenda”. Last year our lawmakers in Nashville, working with the Montgomery County Legislative Liaison Committee, were very successful supporting and obtaining legislation in support of several projects important to Clarksville/Montgomery County.
In order to continue this year, we are asking elected officials, public citizens, and community organizations, like you, to submit one or two projects or items of importance for consideration this year.
Please submit your ideas and/or items for consideration to me or any other member of the committee (via e-mail) by Monday, September 27th.
The whole committee will then meet Thursday, September 30th, in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Historic Courthouse to review all suggested submissions and formulate a draft agenda; with selected projects/legislation sponsors and supporters meeting again at 5:30pm, Thursday, October 14th.
Request you indicate in your response if you would like to attend one of these meetings to further explain your project or idea.
