Nadia Drive Fire Update

FireClarksville, TN – Wednesday, September 22nd,  there was a huge fire on Nadia Drive Fire in the Arboure Greene South Subdivision just off exit 1 in Clarksville. The fire claimed three homes and damaged others in the area.

With extreme heat, homes behind the properties that were lost, the vinyl siding on homes was damaged and there are reports that homes across the street also suffered extreme heat that caused some damage to cabinets inside a couple homes.

The fire displaced three families, one who just rented their home less than two weeks ago and lost everything they owned. According the the USAA insurance adjuster and neighbors, they didn’t have renters insurance to cover their belongings and now must start over with nothing.

There have been reports that US Bank is setting up donation accounts for these three families. Once information is available about these accounts, I will pass it along so anyone can donate money to these families at any US Bank location. There are other reports that neighbors are also collecting items for them as well.

The Fort Campbell soldier who owned the home where the fire started was on his way to Afganistan when the fire started was grounded in Germany and placed on a plane back to Fort Campbell. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time as the investigation is still on going at this time.

Houses near the fires were damaged as well.

On a good note, the wife of the Fort Campbell Soldier had a baby boy Thursday morning around 10:00am. The father was also back at Fort Campbell. Word is they are all doing well and will be staying with friends when they are released from the hospital.

Late Thursday  afternoon, fire trucks raced back to Nadia Drive after a fire broke out at the home to the far right that was also damaged on Wednesday. Fortunately this was able to be put out without any major loss.

Clarksville Department of Electricity was there late Thursday evening and pulled the meter from the home and stated that they will now have to have the home inspected for electrical issues prior to reconnection.

The family was said to be staying in a hotel at this time.
