Greenwood Avenue water valve repair

Clarksville Gas & Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – Weather permitting, Gas and Water construction crews will be working at several points along Greenwood Avenue beginning Tuesday, September 28th, at 8:00am to 4:00pm and resuming at 8:00pm through Wednesday morning at 7:30am and the same times on Thursday, September 30th.

Two separate crews with be replacing five 16-inch water valves at the intersections of Greenwood Avenue and Woodmont Boulevard, Lynes Street, Cross Lane, Edmondson Ferry Road and on Pumping Station Road.

The northbound lane on Greenwood Avenue at the intersections Woodmont Boulevard and Lynes Street and a section of Pumping Station Road will be closed from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday and again on Thursday for Cross Lane and Edmondson Ferry Road while crews begin water valve work. Traffic will be detoured.

Water service will be disrupted from 8:00pm to 7:30am on Tuesday and Thursday nights for the following streets:

  • Greenwood Avenue from Crossland Avenue to Woodmont Boulevard
  • Woodmont Boulevard from Greenwood Avenue to Cumberland Drive
  • Gracey Avenue
  • Seven Mile Ferry Road from Greenwood Avenue to Pumping Station Road

Greenwood residents not affected by the water outage may experience low water pressure during the work.
