Mann wanted to reassure people who felt that Oktoberfest was only about drinking, “Oktoberfest is about so much more than drinking! This is a celebration of German culture that the Clarksville Edelweiss Club shares with the surrounding community, so come on out and have a great time!”

The Edelweiss Club is a social center for folks of a common heritage and their friends. It is a place where you can have fun, sing, dance, meet old friends, and make new ones.
Club meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00pm of the month at the Edelweiss Club of Clarksville (2300 Coke Road [10]). Guests are always welcome!
Since its founding the Edelweiss Club has supported many community projects such as: Veterans Transportation Service, American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” Clarksville/Montgomery Community Action Agency, Big Brothers and Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake, Customs House Museum [11] and Culture Center, Christmas at Clarksville, German Easter and Christmas Service at the Beautiful Savior Luthern Church, Loaves and Fishes, Human Society, Salvation Army, Boy Scout Troop 525, The Shelter for abused women, A scholarship at Austin Peay State University [12]
