October Chamber of Commerce Events

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of October.

On October 4th, the City of Clarksville Mayoral Debate will be held at the Austin Peay State University Music/Mass Communications Building from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The debate will consist of an hour and twenty minutes of debate time and a forty minute audience question and answer time. The debates will offer an excellent opportunity for candidates to introduce themselves to the voters of Clarksville and share their thoughts on relevant community issues. This event is free and open to the public.

The Chamber’s Business After Hours will be held on Thursday, October 21st from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The event will be hosted by Bill Roberts Thunder Road, 2068 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. This event is offered at no cost.

From 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, October 22nd, Clarksville Young Professionals will be holding their Annual Crawfish Boil at the Kiwanis Lodge-Highland Ridge, 1601 Old Russeville Pike. For more information about Clarksville Young Professionals, you can visit www.clarksvilleyps.com.

On Thursday, October 27th, the Chamber Lunch and Learn Series will be held at the Economic Development Council Office, 25 Jefferson Street from 11:30am to 1:00pm. The topic of this month’s lecture is “Tennessee Transportation”.  With the continued growth of the Clarksville area, one of the many elements that are considered is the expansion of our transportation infrastructure.  This month’s Lunch and Learn will highlight just that, the development of transportation plans for urbanized areas with a population of 50,000 or more.  Led by Stan Williams of the Clarksville Metro Planning Commission and Michael Skipper of the Nashville Metropolitan Planning Organization/Transportation, this seminar will inform on the best ways to prioritize transportation development over the next 20 years as well as how a community can instill a Long Range Transportation Plan.
