ACS Family Advocacy Presents Active Parenting Seminars

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – It is no secret that being a parent is one of the hardest jobs on earth, and as our children get older it gets more challenging to relate to them in terms of communication and discipline. If you are a parent of a child age 5 to 12 years old, then ACS Family Advocacy Program invites you to join them for a series of Active Parenting Seminars.

Seminars will take place October 19th, 26th, and November 2nd from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, at the Family Resource Center (FRC). Topics covered will include communication and cooperation, discipline, and natural and logical consequences for actions.

These effective non-violent discipline techniques teach responsibility and other important values, and among other things, encourage your child to be their very best. Advance registration for the seminar is required.

Parent(s) must attend all three sessions to complete the class and free child care is available through Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) hourly care for children 5 and under. Child must be registered with CYSS in order to be admitted into hourly care. Registration is required as space for child care is limited.

For more information or to register for the Active Parenting Seminars, please call ACS Family Advocacy Program at 270-956-3735 or 270-412-5500.
