“We are thrilled to have Kristen join our program,” said Daniels. “We are very fortunate to be able to add a player of her caliber. Kristen is a pure shooter in every sense of the word – she has deep, deep range. In addition to that, she is a team player who, while she can drive to create her own shot, also uses the drive to set up her teammates. She comes to us from a tremendous prep program that has a history of success.”

Stainback enters her senior campaign highly regarded, with Rick Bolus’ High Potential Scouting Service ranking her as the No. 2 prospect in Kentucky in its September rankings. She also is a Kentucky’s “Miss Basketball” candidate.

Stainback selected the Lady Govs from a large pool of programs recruiting the talented athlete, including California, Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky and Evansville.
