Clarksville Mayor-Elect Kim McMillan Makes Senior Staff Announcement

Kim McMillan for Clarksville Mayor“I’m pleased to announce that Charlie Koon and Mark Hicks will join our team at City Hall. I know Charlie and Mark well and more importantly Charlie and Mark know Clarksville and a lot of Clarksville people know them,” McMillan stated. “I have tremendous confidence they’ll do a great job for our city.”

Charlie Koon presently serves as Vice President of Marketing, Branch Administration, and Business Development at the Cumberland Bank & Trust. Mayor-Elect McMillan is a founding member of the board of directors at the bank. Koon and his wife Traci, an academic coach at Richview Middle School, are the parents of Alexis, a student at Barksdale Elementary School.

“I love Clarksville and I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Kim McMillan in helping make Clarksville America’s best place to live, work, and raise a family,” Koon said.

Mark Hicks is an award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience at the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle. He presently covers county government and the school board and he previously served as the night city editor for five years.

“As a journalist, I share Kim’s commitment to government that is open and accessible to everyone. She has proven track record as a leader in this area and I’m eager to join her staff,” Hicks said.
