Man in Custody for Rape and Burglary

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Detective Nick Newman’s investigation into an alleged Rape which occurred on November 27th, 2010, revealed that Samuel Davis and two other individuals were visiting a 29 year old woman at her Clarksville residence. The 29 year old victim went into her bedroom to take a shower and left her guests in the living room.

When she got out of the shower a short time later, Davis was in her room and forced her onto the bed. He sexually assaulted her even though she yelled for him to stop.  When Davis finally allowed the woman to get up, she immediately left the bedroom and told the other guests what happened.

When Davis came out of the bedroom, he began apologizing. One of the guests had already called 911. Once Davis realized that Police were called, he fled from the scene.

Through the course of the investigation, Detective Newman was able to verify that Davis was the person that entered the bedroom, committed the sexual assault, and came out of the bedroom apologizing to the victim. Additionally, Davis had a warrant pending from a  vehicle burglary which occurred August 28th, 2010 at Durrett Drive in which a GPS had been stolen.

On December 3rd, 2010, Deputy Jason Pike (MCSO) took Davis into custody and booked him into the Montgomery County Jail.
