Clarksville, TN – Five Austin Peay State University students will spread holiday cheer Saturday for children and their mothers incarcerated at the Tennessee Prison for Women.
The students – Chelsea Brown, Candiace Dandridge, Amanda Shirey, Tamara Taylor and Lillian Vazquez – are all health and human performance majors. They will provide games, sporting activities and dance instructions to 68 children, ages 2 to 17, and their mothers.
“These students are volunteering their time to make the Christmas holidays a little brighter for these often forgotten children and mothers,” said Dr. Lisa Lewis, assistant professor of health and human performance.
