Hazardous weather to continue, updated list of closings and delays

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – National Weather Service forecasters are predicting that the arctic blast will continue on Tuesday and into Wednesday.

The precipitation is expected to begin as areas of light snow late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Then as warmer air moves in,  any snow will gradually change over to freezing rain during the day on Wednesday.

Sleet is also possible during the transition.

The Hazardous weather conditions will not stick around long, as during the evening hours on Wednesday warming  air will change the precipitation to all rain by late Wednesday night.

Area schools and businesses with delays and closings, including Fort Campbell, Austin Peay State University’s Fort Campbell Campus, Bethel University, Clarksville 1st Nazarene Child Daycare Center, Clarksville Christian School, Clarksville Senior Citizens Center, Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, and St. Andrews Christian School.

Opening at their regular time are Austin Peay State University Main Campus, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Clarksville Academy, Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, the Daymar Institute, and Montgomery County Government.

Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionAs of 1830 13 Dec 10. On Tue 14 Dec 10 Fort Campbell, KY will be OPEN on a two hour delay from normal time.

Dependent Schools and school buses

Dependent Schools and school bus operations will operate on a two hour delay.  Morning Pre-K and PSCD classes are cancelled, (AM Only) PM classes will operate normal.  School Age Services will open at normal time and at their normal locations.

BACH

All hospital appointments and services will be fully operational Tuesday, Dec. 14. Fort Campbell has issued a two-hour delay; however Blanchfield staff will be offering appointments on time. Please use your best judgment when coming to your medical appointments. You may call to cancel your appointment if you feel the roads are unsafe. To cancel appointment, call the Call Center at 270-798-4677 or 931-431-4677 during normal business hours or at 270-798-VOID after hours.

Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State UniversityAPSU will be open and operating on a normal schedule, Tuesday, Dec. 14. However, Austin Peay at Fort Campbell will open at 9 a.m. due to base delays.

Clarksville Academy

The Clarksville AcademyWe are going to have school tomorrow at the regular time. Regular exam schedule. If your family’s route to school remains snow covered and is icy please email kturner@clarksvilleacademy.com or phone 647-6311 and leave a message prior to 7:45 AM Tuesday, Dec. 14th. Mrs. Burkhart or Mrs. White will reschedule any exams that students miss due to poor drivng conditions. Buses and vans will run routes on regular schedule.
