Cynthia Lynn Young  was unable to attend the meeting and will have the Mayor’s certificate delivered to her.

As Cynthia Young was passing by 1032 Washington Street, she saw the residence was on fire and attempted to wake the occupants. When that was unsuccessful, she woke the neighbors who called 911.

Officer Beau Skinner and Captain Inman in a coordinated effort entered the Washington Street residence, which was fully engulfed by fire, and rescued Michaela Reed and her two children, Jacob and Elliah. Their selfless actions showed great personal bravery in an extremely dangerous situation.
