APSU Women’s Softball
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team travels to Oxford, MS, this Friday through Sunday, to play in the Red and Blue Classic, hosted by the University of Mississippi.
In the classic field, along with Austin Peay (2-6) and host Mississippi, will be Western Kentucky, South Alabama and Ohio Valley Conference member Southeast Missouri. Louisiana Tech also is at the Classic, but Austin Peay will not face them this weekend.
On Saturday, the Lady Govs square off against Southeast Missouri, at 11:00pm, and South Alabama at 3:00pm.
The classic concludes with the Lady Govs facing South Alabama at 11:00am, Sunday.
Senior Tiffany Smith is leading Lady Govs’ hitters with a .333 batting average, two doubles and home run, while sophomore Morgan Brewer comes into the weekend hitting an even .300.
In the circle, Brewer and freshman Taylor Mills have the Lady Govs two wins this season.
