New Firefighters sworn in during ceremony at City Hall

Clarksville Fire RescueThree new firefighters for Clarksville Fire Rescue were sworn in during a ceremony held in the Mayor’s Office on Friday. They were Jason Wise, Phillip Clouser, Taylor Hennerfeind.

Mayor Kim McMillan administered the oath for the trio, who have been hired and will be participating in three weeks of basic training locally. The recruits will next attend the Tennessee Fire Academy for further training that will allow them to respond to emergencies with fellow firefighters.

City Council Members Geno Grubbs and Kaye Jones, along with members of the firefighters families, were on hand for the ceremony

Following the ceremony the new firemen took part in a “live fire” training exercise.
