Student Traffic Awareness Training

S.T.A.T. (Student Traffic Awareness Training) Class for Teens

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be holding a four (4) hour Student Traffic Awareness Training class for Clarksville Montgomery County high school students who have a learner’s permit or driver’s license.

This class is Free.

Classes will be held April 23rd, 2011; August 20th, 2011 and October 1st, 2011.

Classes are from 1:00pm until 4:30pm at 106 Public Square in the City Council Chambers.

Applications are available at Clarksville Police headquarters, 135 Commerce Street or by going to www.clarksvillepd.org.  Applications are to be turned in to the Clarksville Police Department at 135 Commerce Street either in person or by mail.

Applicants are registered after turning in their application. You will not receive a phone call unless information is needed from you or your parent. You will need to check www.clarksvillepd.org for any class changes or check our Facebook page under Clarksville Police Department. The class is limited to 75 students.

  • Occupant protection
  • Underage alcohol prevention awareness
  • Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety
  • Rules of the Road & Procedures
  • Traffic Signs and Signals
  • Tennessee Traffic Laws
  • Driving Responsibly
  • Driving Under the Influence
  • Texting, talking and other distractions while driving
