Stay Strong with the Women’s Self Defense Course

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – One in six women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.  Every two minutes someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. These staggering statistics make it vital to know how to defend yourself in all circumstances.

The Army Community Service (ACS) Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is helping women to be prepared by offering the Women’s Self-Defense Course on April 12th through April 13th. The fleet includes the NV1500 or 1/2 ton van, the NV2500 HD, 3/4 ton van and the NV3500 HD, the one ton van.

East Bel Air Boulevard and Virginia Terrace Water Outage Scheduled

 

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – A Gas and Water construction crew will turn off water service on East Bel Air Boulevard from Lexington to Dave Drive, Virginia Terrace, and on a section of Gino Drive at 9:00am on Wednesday for water valve replacement work. The intersection of East Bel Air and Dave will be closed to traffic during the work.

Water service is expected to be restored and the roads reopened by 1:00pm.

Joint forces continue Marawara operations

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionBastogneKunar Province, Afghanistan – Afghan National Security and coalition forces from Task Force Bastogne continued operations in the Marawara District, Kunar Province April 3rd.

Operations began on March 29th, with the ASNF and coalition forces clearing the region around the villages of Sarowbay and Barawarlow Kalay.
