Clarksville Parks & Recreation to offer Geocaching Class

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Have you ever heard of geocaching?  The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to take part in a Geocaching Class on Saturday, May 7th from 8:00am until 10:00am at Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.

Geocaching uses GPS devices to hide and seek containers called “geocaches,” very similar to a treasure hunt!

The class will be lead by Jose Ornelas, a member of the Kentucky Tennessee Area Geocachers group in Clarksville.  Ornelas will explain what geocaching is and how to go about getting involved. The group will be searching out the caches hidden in Billy Dunlop.

Participants are not required to bring their own GPS device and the class is free to attend.

For more details on the Geocaching Class, please contact the Clarksville Parks and Recreation at 931-645-7476 or visit www.cityofclarksville.com.
