APSU student awarded $500 scholarship from Edelweiss Club for 2011-12

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Andrea Yarbrough, an Austin Peay State University German language major, was awarded a $500.00 scholarship from the Clarksville Edelweiss Club for the 2011-12 academic year. 

Jim Nolan, president of the local Edelweiss Club, recently presented Yarbrough with the Clarksville Edelweiss Club Scholarship. The club awards the annual $500.00 scholarship to an APSU student who is majoring or minoring in German.

Yarbrough plans to be a German teacher after graduation.

The Clarksville Edelweiss Club is a nonprofit organization that was founded to uphold and promote German heritage and tradition.
