215 Strike Solders Returned Monday

Fort Campbell, KY – Monday, 215 Strike Soldiers returned to Campbell Army Airfield after the flight had been delayed a couple times. Friends and family gathers outside hanger 3 to watch as their loved ones landed safely.  As the plane came into sight, you could hear the the crowd getting wound up.

Many signs went up in the air to display their messages for the soldiers to see.

Once inside the hanger Brigadier General Jeffrey N. Colt welcomed everyone home in a short speech to the soldiers. Afterwards everyone was allowed 15 minutes of family time before heading back to their unit to turn in their gear.

During the 15 minutes of family time, PV2 Justin Comedauz was greeted by his mother Kimberly Bryant, his sister Chelsie Camedaux, His brother Austin Worley and dad Joseph Bradley were holding up a sign that said Happy Birthday.

PV2 Camedauz said he is looking forward to spending family time together. Plans are for a big family dinner once he is released for the night.

If you wish to attend a Welcome Home Ceremony, check the flight schedules online, as times are subject to change at any time. When arriving to Fort Campbell, enter via Gate 7; if you don’t have installation stickers on your vehicle, you will be required to get a visitor pass. From there just follow the signs to the ceremony parking. Waiting buses transport the Family members safely to the hanger.
