May Chamber of Commerce Events

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of May.

The Great American Clean Up Day will be taking place in Montgomery County on May 7th. Volunteers are encouraged to meet at the Montgomery County Courthouse at 9:00am that morning. This serves as an excellent opportunity to get involved in activities that improve the quality of life in our community. Initiatives include cleaning up parks and playgrounds, planting trees and flowers as well as hosting recycling drives.

The Chamber’s Business After Hours will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The event will be hosted by the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road. Please join us for food, networking and fun. This event is offered at no cost.

On Tuesday, May 31st, the Chamber will be hosting a Women In Business event at 11:30am at the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road. Tresa Halbrooks will serve as the Keynote Speaker. Her personal story will touch and inspire you; her humor will undoubtedly make you laugh and you will enjoy hearing about her journey through a male dominated industry. Tresa Halbrooks has served as the Titans’ Manager of Community Relations for 10 years and assists Titans players with their efforts and image off-the-field and in the community. She was recently named one of Nashville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Executives in 2011.

Also, as a reminder, the 2011 Gary Mathews Motors Golf Scramble will be held at the Swan Lake Golf Course on June 2nd at 11:30am. Please RSVP if you have not done so as space is limited. With more contests and prizes, this year’s event is sure to be full of great networking and fun. Cost is $70.00 per player for members and $100.00 per player for non-members.
