2 Students get to Skate to DC

Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, May 17th the LEAP Organization along with the Convenient Shopper Magazine hosted a Skate Night at Magic Wheels. While the tournament was not great, the hearts of those who came out were. The community donations, two LEAP Interns were able to have their $300.00 registration fee sponsored so that they could participate in the trip to Washington DC.

“I am overjoyed by God touching the hearts of our generous sponsors” commented Tamira Cole, LEAP Board President, “In times where it is easy to justify holding onto donations for a personal rainy day, its encouraging to know we have members of our community willing to invest in our youth.”

The purpose of this trip is to provide our youth with an opportunity to journey through our past and see history in the making through an historical and relevant tour of the Capitol.

For anyone interested in making a full or partial sponsorship to enable a student to participate in this trip, please contact Richard Garrett at 931-378-0500. Donations can also be made online at www.leaporg.net
