Clarksville–Montgomery County Chapter – American Red Cross

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – The Clarksville–Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red Cross terminated its partnership with the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Regions effective May 20th, 2011. The local Red Cross Board of Directors decision has initiated independent fund raising efforts to finance disaster relief, blood services, military outreach, health and safety, and many others.

Due to the economic turndown in our local economy and the demand for increased disaster related services, the local Red Cross must have independent funding. Fund raising by the Red Cross was prohibited during their blackout period each year as criteria of the partnership with the United Way.  After much consideration, it was determined that our local Red Cross could not survive on the limited funds received through United Way funding.

The Clarksville- Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red Cross appreciates the years of support provided by the United Way. Our hope is that we will continue to maintain a mutually satisfying relationship with all who have contributed to both of these fine organizations.

The Red Cross is hopeful that people in our local community will get involved with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Red Cross. To make monetary donation as an investment in your community send donation to 1760 Madison Street together we can save life.  Your local Red Cross is funded solely by community donations.
