CPD Needs Help Identifying an Unknown Deceased Woman

Woman Possibly Struck by a Motor Vehicle

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department needs the public’s assistance in a death investigation. On May 27th, around 4:02am, an unknown woman was spotted by a passerby laying in a grassy area at the intersection of Dover Road and Charlemagne Blvd. She had sustained multiple injuries, was transported to Gateway by ambulance, and died at the hospital around 7:00am.

The unknown woman is believed to have been walking in the westbound lane of Dover Road when an unknown vehicle struck the woman knocking her into the grassy area. The vehicle then left the scene.

The vehicle is believed to have been blue, may be missing a passenger side mirror, and has damage to the trim around a headlight.

The unknown woman has not been identified. She is a white female, 5’10-6’0, 170-180 lbs, blond hair, and green eyes. She had a tattoo on her left leg with the initials AJR and a tattoo on the right leg with the initials RJW. She was wearing blue jeans, a white halter top with a black tube top underneath. She was wearing sandals which had a strap that ran high on the leg. She was wearing a unique looking pewter peacock ring which was very detailed.  She was also wearing a string necklace with a clear plastic heart with a silver cross in the center.

She had no ID, cell phone, and not wearing any earrings.

We are looking for any information which might help us determine the victim’s identity, the vehicle and owner, and any details about the pedestrian crash.  We would also like to talk to the driver of the vehicle to determine the facts behind the crash.
