Summer Youth Program Continues, Filling Up Quickly

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Youth Program continues and openings at the various sites are filling up quickly!

The West Creek, Caldwell Lane, Minglewood, Barksdale, Hazelwood, St. Bethlehem, Kleeman Center, Crow Center and New Providence sites have met their registration capacities.

Summer Youth Program

Currently, the Woodlawn, Burt, Byrns Darden, Summit Heights and Burt-Cobb Center locations are available for more registration. Each of the remaining sites is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Children must be picked up prior to closing. Program locations will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

The Summer Youth Program is a six-week, program that is offered each summer to youths, ages 6-16. Gyms at various locations are staffed with directors and assistants, who will help with playtime activities and provide free instructional classes such as dance and karate. Participants are taken to one of the five City pools on Fridays, and a lunch is provided each day of the program.
