Sounds open Nine-Game Homestand on Tuesday

Homestand Highlighted By Kids T-Shirt Giveaway and Purity Faith Night® Concert

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return home to Greer Stadium this Tuesday, June 21st, to open a nine-game homestand against the division-rival Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals affiliate) and New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins affiliate).

Highlighting the week’s worth of promotions will be two fireworks shows, kids T-Shirt giveaway, Taco Bell Throwback Thursday, one Purity Faith Night® concert, and “Swing For The Fences Night” – a special Musicians On Call evening at the ballpark during which the Sounds will wear black, musical-themed specialty jerseys on the field.

Tuesday night’s 7:05pm homestand opener with Omaha will be KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, when fans will be able to bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper/proof of purchase to the box office for a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer. Gates open at 6:05pm.

As part of the family-friendly Kids Eat Free promotion, all kids 12 & under will receive a voucher for one free hot dog, one free small bag of chips, and free one soft drink with paid admission for Wednesday evening’s 5:35pm doubleheader. Two scheduled seven-inning games will be played to make up an April 26 rainout. Gates open at 4:35pm.

Sounds players will be wearing retro 1980s-style uniforms for Taco Bell Throwback Thursday while fans enjoy concession stands filled with discounted pricing, such as $2.00 beer, $2.00 soft drinks, $2.00 hot dogs, $2.00 popcorn, and $2.00 nachos. Beer sales will conclude at the end of the 6th inning, while Slugger’s Sports Bar will sell until the end of game. Fans with Taco Bell receipts and college students with valid college IDs will receive $5.00 general admission tickets to the game. Game time is 7:05pm and gates open at 6:05pm.

Firestone Friday Fireworks will light up the sky following the action on the field for Friday’s 7:05pm finale against the Storm Chasers. Gates open at 6:05pm.

For Saturday’s 6:35pm series opener with the Zephyrs, the first 1,000 children 12 and under through the turnstiles will receive a kids T-Shirt, thanks to Delta Dental and The Big 98 WSIX. Combined with postgame Fireworks, courtesy of Nashville’s NEWS 2, Saturday evening is another can’t miss night at the ballpark with the Nashville Sounds!

Also on Saturday, the Nashville Sounds will be wearing black, musical-themed specialty jerseys in support of Musicians On Call. Fans have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction during the game in order to take home a player’s jersey right off his back following the contest. The auction begins when gates open at 5:35pm. All proceeds will benefit Musicians On Call, which brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

Sunday evening’s 6:35pm contest against New Orleans will be a Purity Sundae Sunday with $1.00 ice cream sundaes available at Greer Stadium. The World Outreach Church Celebration Arts Ministry will play a Purity Faith Night® concert on the plaza stage near the first-base entrance at Greer Stadium. It is also Autograph Day, where a pre-game autograph session will take place on field with members of the Sounds team and coaching staff beginning at 5:55pm. Gates open a half-hour earlier than normal at 5:05pm.

Monday’s 7:05pm contest is the third game of the four-game series with New Orleans. Hot dogs are priced at only $1.00 at concession stands for Dollar Dog Night, while fans can register to win prizes and experiences involving Sounds manager Don Money for Money Monday. Gates open at 6:05pm.

Tuesday night’s 7:05pm homestand finale is another KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, when fans will be able to bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper/proof of purchase to the box office for a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer. Gates open at 6:05pm.

Following the homestand, Nashville will embark on a four-game road trip against the Round Rock Express (Rangers affiliate) before returning home on Monday, July 4th to host a three-game homestand against the state-rival Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals affiliate).
