Kidnapping Investigation

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a kidnapping that happened on 6-28-11 at 10:50 pm, at College Street and 9th Street. The victim, a female in her 20s was in the left lane of College Street heading toward town and stopped at 9th street for the red-light.

The victim was driving a gray 2 door Kia Forte with the windows rolled down and the doors locked. The suspect entered the car through the window with what appeared to be a black gun at the time. After a certain period of time, the victim believed it was a flashlight.

The victim was then told to drive to Springfield, TN where she was made to withdraw money from an ATM machine. She was also robbed of her purse, credit cards, and cell phone. The Springfield Police Department is handling the robbery. The victim was able to get away after the suspect got out of the car, closed the door, and at that point she sped away. She was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9, 230-240, clean shaven, with short twisties, and a tear drop under right eye. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPSLINE, 931-645-8477.
