Liberty Park Boaters Urged to Exercise Caution

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – As the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department extends the hours of the new Liberty Park boating access this Fourth of July Weekend, patrons are urged to be cautious entering and exiting the park because of ongoing construction.

Please be aware of the continuing work at various parts of the park and yield to construction equipment traffic.

The new, four-lane boat ramp and two boat docks will be open today through Monday, July 4th, from 7:00am to 8:00pm. However, because of Sunday’s Independence Day Celebration, the ramp will be open 7:00am to midnight to accommodate boaters. The boat ramp and docks are the only areas of the park that are open each weekend. Other areas of Liberty Park are not open to the public at this time.

Clarksville Parks & Recreation would also like to remind patrons that the Marina Basin, located near the boat ramp and docks, is a strict “No Wake Zone,” and all boating regulations must be observed. For more on boating regulations, please consult the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s website at www.tn.gov/twra/boatingregs.html.
