Man Electrocuted

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Around 6:15am this morning, 911 received a call from a man that was lying on the ground and didn’t know how he got there.

When officers arrived, they found a conscious 49 year old man in a ditch at 1255 Boilin Lane near a ladder propped against a platform leading to electrical transformers. The man appeared to have been electrocuted.

The man had burn marks on multiple locations on his body. There were green rubber gloves and commercial wire cutters in close proximity to the man. When department of electricity technicians arrived, they inspected the transformers and discovered a heavy duty fuse had been tripped and 75,000 volts was discharged from the transformer.

The man was LifeFlighted and is in Critical, but Stable condition.
