Catie Tucker, Ashley Wathen, Holly Batey, Tabitha Beard and Rachel Deaton were named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Team for Division I.
The criteria for selection to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and each individual must play in at least 50 percent of her team’s respective matches.
Tucker, who back in the spring earned both APSU’s Women’s Scholar-Athlete Award and the Perkins Freeman Governors Club Academic Achievement Award for graduating with the highest GPA among APSU athletes, left Austin Peay with a 3.98 grade-point average while Wathen had a 3.56. Batey currently has a 4.0 GPA after four semesters while Beard has a 3.95. Deaton finished her first APSU year with a 3.81 GPA.
