Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma City RedHawks hung a 6-3 defeat on theon Wednesday evening at RedHawks Field.
The loss brought a close to the Sounds’ seven-game road winning streak, which was the club’s best effort away from Greer Stadium this season.
Nashville didn’t score a run in the contest until there were two outs in the top of the ninth inning, when the Sounds plated three runs against the RedHawks bullpen before the rally ultimately fell short.

The vehicle involved in the attempted kidnapping is believed to be a 2000-2004 Extended Cab Ford Ranger.
Right-hander Enjoyed Two Solid Starts Against Division-Rival Cubs
Nashville, TN – right-hander Frankie De La Cruz has been named the Pacific Coast League’s Pitcher of the Week for the July 18th-24th period.
In a pair of starts against division-rival Iowa, De La Cruz went 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA (2er/13.0ip) with 15 strikeouts in his 13.0 innings of work. He held opposing batters to a .217 average (10-for-46).
The highlight of his week was a dominant victory on Saturday at Greer Stadium against the I-Cubs that was the best pitching performance by a Sounds hurler all season.
Nashville, TN – The Titans were in need a veteran quarterback and they got one in former Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. After Kerry Collins retired, the Titans were in need of someone who could come in for a few years and help mentor Jake Locker, the #8 overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. It is reported that the deal is worth $21 million over a three year period.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are still looking for the individual who attempted a kidnapping at the Walmart located at 2315 Madison Street. Police, today, released photos of the 2000 – 2004 Extended Cab Ford Ranger used in that attempt.

Clarksville, TN – Water service on Britton Springs Road will be off from Garrettsburg Road to Coburn Road until approximately 5:30pm. this afternoon. The northbound lane of Britton Springs is also closed to traffic from Garrettsburg Road to Long Beech Drive while Gas and Water construction crews repair a water main leak.

Clarksville, TN – head volleyball coach Bill Egbert has begun piecing together his coaching staff for the upcoming season, naming Lora Sarich as an assistant coach.
Sarich comes to Austin Peay after spending the past season as a volunteer assistant coach at Mississippi. It was her second stint with a team in the Southeastern Conference following two seasons as Director of Operations at Georgia.
