Liberty Park paving continues through weekend

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Liberty Park boat ramp users need to use extreme caution this weekend because of paving crews and equipment within the park.

On Wednesday, crews began applying top coats of pavement on some roads and parking areas. This weekend, construction traffic will be heavier than in the past, and people using the boat ramps should yield to the machinery and workers when entering or exiting the park.

The paving project is expected to continue the next few weeks, which may require closing the boat ramp. Such closings would be announced in advance.

Currently, only the four-lane boat ramps at the marina basin and adjacent parking lot are open on weekends; the remainder of the park is closed because of ongoing construction. The ramps are open from 2:00pm until dusk on Fridays and from 7:00am until 8:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Police regularly patrols at the park and people entering when it is closed are subject to being cited.
